Agnes B.3 (Francis2 McDonnell, Bridget1 Blaney, DanielA) was born in Missouri c. 1873, the daughter of Francis McDonnell and Mary Olive Brown. [1]
Aggie married William E. Burt on 2 April 1896 in Austin, Cass Co. MO, when she was 23. The two were married in a Methodist Episcopal ceremony in Austin, where she was then living with her parents. Willie was then a resident of Franklin Co. NE. [2] He was 27 years of age, born in Wisconsin in March of 1869. [3] He was the son of Burton Burt and his wife Rachel L. His father was a farmer, born in Ohio, and his mother was born in Wisconsin, where the family had lived for several years previously. [4] Six months later, Willie's younger brother Herbert married Aggie's younger sister Mayme.
In 1900 Willie was employed as the operator of a cream separator, renting a home in Harmony, Webster Co. NE. [5] By 1920 he had acquired his own farm, with a mortgage, also in Harmony. [6] He had given up farming in 1920, working as a salesman at an oil and gas enterprise in Campbill, Franklin Co., where the Burts rented a home. [7] They were still living there in 1930, but by then they owned their own home, worth $1000. William's occupation was given as "none." [8]
Willie died in 1930 at the age of 61. Aggie died 8 years later, in 1938, aged 58. [9]
