Mary Louis Schuyler and Joel Benton Day

Mary Louise3 Schuyler, (Caroline 2 McDonnell, Bridget1 Blaney, DanielA) was born in Missouri.

Mary Louise married Joel Benton Day on 28 October 1894 in Dayton, Cass Co. MO. [1] Joel was born near Austin on 27 July 1852, the son of William Day and his wife Levica McKee. He was a widower, and had a daughter by his first marriage. He was a farmer and a founding member of the Austin Baptist Church, to which he belonged until his death. Joel and Mary Louise lived in Austin and had two children before she died in 1904 after only 10 years of married life. In 1914 he moved to Harrisonville, the Cass County seat of government, where his daughter Lurena and her husband lived with him. Joel outlived his wife by 25 years, dying at his home of pulmonary edema caused by heart deterioration on 27 October 1929. [2]

Mary Louise Schuyler and Joel Benton Day had the following children:

i. William Lee Day was born on 2 August 1898 and died on 6 September 1901. [3]
ii. Luerena Mabel Day was born in Cass Co. Missouri on 4 October 1895. [4]
