Welcome!

Hello, and welcome! The Baptist History & Genealogy email list is here for all to share and enjoy. It was created on 24 July 1999, and as of today there are more than 120 persons subscribed to it. Traffic on the list is generally under 20 emails a day. This forum is for the discussion of Baptist History and Genealogy.

Feel free to post as many Baptist related queries as you wish. Baptist Family and Church related histories are also welcome.

As long as they are Baptist Genealogy or History related, you are encouraged to answer on the list rather than by private email. That way persons with similar questions or knowledge can see if they have information to share as well. Please don't forget to update the subject header on your messages if needed. Many people only scan these subject headers to see what interests them and they delete the rest.

Subscription Procedures

To Subscribe: (Regular - single emails)
Send an email to: [email protected] with the one word SUBSCRIBE in the body of the message. That's all you need to do. Please leave the subject line blank.

To Unsubscribe: (Regular)
Send an email to: [email protected] with the one word UNSUBSCRIBE in the "body" of the message. Nothing else needs to be added. Please leave the subject line blank.

To send messages:
Send your email to: [email protected]. You must be a subscriber to send emails to the list.

To change your email address:
If you are changing Internet service providers, subscribe to the list with your new email address, and then when the mail starts coming through your new address; unsubscribe from the list with your old address. Thank you for remembering!

To Subscribe to DIGEST: (All posts in one message each 12 hours)
If you would rather receive a full day of messages in one document rather than every single email that is posted to the list, send an email to: [email protected] with the one word SUBSCRIBE in the body of the message. Please leave the subject line blank.
