14 Aug 1745.  …land which Thomas Anderson holds in Essex County situated in South Farnham Parish near Piscataway Ferry being a tract of land bought by Joseph Anderson, father of said Thomas Anderson.  Describes Thomas Anderson as a bricklayer in Fairfax County; with wife named Elizabeth.  Also mentions bond with William Smith of Northumberland County, VA.

Note:  The elder Joseph Anderson in Essex County, VA must have died by 1745.  This elder Anderson, born circa 1698-1701, was probably married to a Elizabeth Clayton (she remarried to a Mr. Pendleton).
