Hi, I have a family which arrives in Leeds Co Ontario c1841 (head J.H. DARLING, wife Clarissa, children Wells, Russell, Walter, Wells, etc). There is somewhat unreliable information that they came from Vermont, although there are some indications of birth in Scotland or Northumberland. The date 1812 is mentioned for an arrival. Russell married in US, the other children married in Canada. Happy to hear from you if it seems useful.
Hi, I would like any information or direction you could provide me as to an Elizabeth MAGUIRE, commonly known as Beth, she lived in New England, more than likely Maine or Massachusetts pre-American Revolution. She performed services as a midwife and was hung, believed to be accused of witchcraft or the like, by the town doctor/physician..... I know that this information is sketch at best, but would appreciate any assistance, information or direction you could provide. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration, [email protected]
