His wife and son William were the executors. The will was dated 26 Oct. 1744 and was probated same year. Witnesses were Wm. Pettaway, Edward Pettaway, Richard Rives. His widow, Lydia Judkins Weathers, died in 1746

Benjamin Weathers also left a Sussex County will which was recorded in 1793. He named his wife Mary ______, a son Edmund, and seven grandchildren.

Edmund Weathers was born in 1758 and his estate was administered in 1795.  He did not leave a will, nor did his widow, Mary Wrenn. She is identified as the wife of Edmund in the 1793 will of her father, Thomas Wrenn.  [This family name was supplied through the research of Marie Blocher of Chelmsford, MA.] Sussex county marriage records and the 1837 administration of her estate by her son-in-law Jordan Edwards gave us further information about their seven children as follows:

John Thomas married Nancy Hobbs in 1801.
His heirs at the distribution of their grandmother's estate in 1837 were John, James and Susan.

Nathan married Nancy Zills in 1801.
His heirs in the 1837 distribution were William E. Weathers, Thomas W. Weathers
and Scarborough Pentecost.
Sterling married Elizabeth Moyler (?) in 1818.

Nancy married Jesse Lee.

Mary "Polly" Chappell married Jordan Edwards  (above administrator).

Martha married Joel Lee.

Jesse's wife was Margaret Johnson; his daughter was Mary J.                                      .
