Charles F. Hopkins: BIRTH: 16 May 1842, Hope,New Jersey
 DEATH: 14 Feb 1934

He earned a belated Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroism during the
fighting at Gaines Mills, Va in 1862.
He was held in Andersonville for 10 months of 'living hell'.  While wounded,
and under fire, he carried a wounded comrade on his back for more than a mile
to safety.

He survived and came back to Boonton NJ (also my home town), they almost
amputated his legs but he would not have it, and he nursed himself back to
health, became mayor of Boonton, Married Hettie Van Duyne, and had 7 children.
He is burried in Greenwood Cemetary in Boonton, NJ.

That's it. I thought maybe you would want to add that information .. all
that's there is the picture and the person described above the picture isn't
him .....

If you want more information, let me know....
