UPDATES from ongoing research:

page 66, 4.1.7John Miller Daily married Ruth Elizabeth Gosney, born July 23, 1852 in MO. She was daughter of William W. Gosney and Susanna A. Corn. John and Elizabeth are buried among family in Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Included buried there are their son Albert and his wife Lula May (Miller) Dailey, Albert and Lula's children Clifford Dailey and Marj (Dailey) Brennan and her husband John Brennan. John's  Dailey's gravestone is inscribed as, "John M. Dailey."

In immediate family records the name Dailey has appeared as Dailey, Daley, Daily, and  Dealy.  If looking at gravestones, it's Dailey from John M. Dailey to the present, and Dealy before that.

Information and the following pictures were graciously  provided by Olin Karch.

John Miller Daily

Front Row: John Miller Dailey and Ruth Elizabeth (Gosney).  Back row: John William Dailey, Albert Adams Dailey, and on the right are Sarah Susan Elizabeth (Dailey) and her husband Matthew Meyers.

page 108, second line, 4.4.1.6 Charles. E. Ross. Charles married Belle Carter who was born in KY. They had at least one son, Ernest Hampton Ross, who married Dorothy Artman of Colville, WA. Dorothy descended from Mayflower ancestor Stephen Hopkins. Source is Brian Ross who is a descendant of Charles E. Ross. Note the middle name of Ernest Hampton Ross is the surname of his grandmother, Rosanna Hampton Ross.

page 131, A June 2004 trip to the Hamner Genealogy Room in Ironton, Ohio shed further light on the early Lynd families of that area. It was learned that John Davidson Lynd was not ancestor John Lynd who married Betsey Pancake, but instead was the son of our John's brother William Lynd. There was much Lynd information found in the library that adds to what is found in the book.
