COLE---My g-f, JAMES BRADY COLE was born in Troy, Pike Co, AL Dec. 16, 1881. He had two sisters, Vonnie and Carra. His father, ROBERT ALLEN COLE (from England) and his wife, JOHANNA BLOODWORTH (from Georgia). There are no records of his birth nor the family in Troy at that time. I have no idea where they were before Troy or where they went after his birth. I have hit the "brick wall." These Cole's are an elusive bunch. One thing I think may be a "family trait" is that the men in the family were always called by their initials, not the given names, i.e. James Brady was "J.B.," Lloyd David was "L.D.," Henry Bascom was "H.B. etc. It is reported by deceased family members that g-gf came from South Carolina. Hope someone has news. At that time in history, it could be he ran off with another woman, Johanna and disappeared without a trace. Don't know. email: [email protected] Thanks for any light you may shed on this man. Contact: Gwen Email: [email protected] Address: P O Box 1301; Houston, Tx 77030.
