Marshall was son of William Hince HIGGINBOTHAM and Malley SMITH. Myrtle was daughter of Oscar WATSON and Euna BLACKWELL. Marshall was born 3-28-1893 and died in 1978. Myrtle was born 11-13-1897. Harrison, Grimes, Faircloth, Holloway, Smith, Plant, Moore--- J.E.(James Edmon) Harrison (1822-1913)was born in Montgomery County to Mary "Polly" Wasden & John Harrison. He married Fanny Grimes in Pike Co. 1844 & she died Jan 13, 1849! Children were John 1847 and Mary E. 1848 or 49! The 1860 Clarke County Census has James E. with: Martha 27; John 13; Mary E. 11; Fredonia 7, James 6, Delilah 4, & Sarah 2. Martha, John & Mary E. were born in Coffee county and all others (except Sarah bn Clarke County)were born in Butler Co. James married Mary Moore in 1861 & had: Edmond 1861 & Mary 1866. Mary died about 1867 and James Married Nancy Smith in 1869... they had no children & are burried together in Monroe Co. New Hope Baptist Cementary! James Bn 1854 married Selah Holloway, Delilah 1855 m W.T. Plant, & Fredonia married a William Faircloth! Will be glad to share info & notes on this family. Carter---I am looking for information on the Carter family of Anniston, Calhoun County, Alabama, around 1900-1920. My husband's great- grandfather and his family lived on Christy (Christie?) Street in Anniston. The father committed suicide, and his widow, Neva Belle Carter, took her children (Kathleen Belle, Tom, Carol, and Chris - probably Christine) and moved to Ohio. Kathleene Belle Carter was born in 1902 or 1904 and was a young girl when her father died. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. She (Maliccy) and her husband, John T, MORGAN appeared on 1880 Geneva co, ALA, census w/dau Mattie, 3 mos- Vol 9 E.D 79 sheet 7 line 29. Then they appeared on the June 1900 census Geneva co, Alabama. Brantons Pct 1 Enumeration Dist 71 line 46 sheet 28 Vol 24 -Farmer. Married 21 years. Could not read or write. "Branton's" pct located 6 miles north of the Florida border and 2 miles west of the border btwn Geneva & Houston counties (look 2 miles south & slightly east of the town of Rehobeth, ALA.) Info from Dick Branton's g-grandfathers land record's. What cemeteries are in THIS area? John T. appeared on the 1910 Sumter co, Georgia census: age 55, Widowed, w/dau's Carrie 18, Daisy 13 & Velma 11. Next door was his 85 yr old widowed mother. Griffith--- Samuel Griffith was supposely born in 1850 Chambers county Ala. His grandparents were Joel and Mary Griffith. I am not sure who his parents are. Samuel may have been born a little later then 1850 but no later then 1855. These are Joel and Mary's children Amaziah, Joel, John D., Isaac, David E., Joshua J.
