1910 Missouri Census
Wilbanks extracts
Transcription notes
- 02 Jan 2000, John Wilbanks:
The Dallas Public Library does not have Soundex for the W's for Missouri 1910.
Consequently, I went through the actual microfilms for several Missouri counties
where I knew there to have been Wilbanks family members at one time or another.
In general, the quality of the microfilm was abysmal for the counties that I
checked -- terribly overexposed and washed out in most cases and significantly
underexposed and dark in others. I recorded every reference I could make out.
Specifically, I viewed Howell, Linn, and Wright counties. In future, it will
be useful to read other counties that had Wilbanks listings in the 1910 census:
Carter, Cooper, Dunklin, Jasper, Laurence, Oregon, Ozark, St. Louis, Shannon.
In addition, Phelps, Texas, and Webster counties may yield listings for Wilbanks or for
related surnames Rinck/Rink/Rinks and Peebles/Peeples/Peoples.

Comments on Wilbanks, J.C. in Howell County revised to correct a "slip-of-the-mind".
Howell County
[Transcribed 30 Dec 1999 by John Wilbanks at the Dallas Public Library.
Parts of the microfilm for Howell county were significantly overexposed,
with the result that many pages are washed out and only barely readable.
In particular, the locales of West Plains, Hutton Valley, and Willow Springs
are very hard to make out.
Consequently, some Wilbanks entries may have been missed.]

Linn County
[Transcribed 30 Dec 1999 by John Wilbanks at the Dallas Public Library.
The microfilm for Linn County was seriously overexposed, with the result that
both handwriting and printed type are washed out, and it is impossible to make out names
on most pages.
Nevertheless, I paid particularly close attention to Locust Creek Twp in Linneus,
where Thomas Jefferson Wilbanks and Rebecca Palestine Estes were listed in 1900,
but could not make out anything.
Although no Wilbanks listings were found anywhere in the county, there may actually have been
some in the original census.]
No Wilbanks or variants found.
Wright County
[Transcribed 30 Dec 1999 by John Wilbanks at the Dallas Public Library.
The microfilm for Wright County was underexposed, with the result that
many pages have dark areas that obscure important information. Nevertheless, almost
all surnames could be made out.]
