Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Frannzka(sic) and Miss Beryl C. Cox, all of Portland, Ore., were in the valley last Wednesday visiting some of the older settlers of the valley. Their father at one time owned the corner where the Grange Hall stands and also built and lived in the present Presbyterian Manse. The family moved from the valley sixty years ago just after two of the smaller children died of diphtheria. Because of the deep snow and the fact that the horses could not reach the new cemetery, the children were buried on the hill west of there. The two sisters have long wanted to find the graves which were enclosed in a picket fence but cattle on the hill have long ago destroyed all signs and no one can find the burial place.
