ERNEST WEBSTER

     On April 17, 2006, Ernest James Webster died in The Dalles, Ore., at the age of 59. He was born on February 26, 1947, in White Salmon to Ella (McCloud) and Jerry Shebley.
     Mr. Webster went to school in Lyle, later working in the Gorge area doing construction and logging. He served in the United States Army from Dec. 12, 1966, until April 30, 1970. After his honorable discharge, he returned to the Gorge. Mr. Webster enjoyed fishing for salmon and sturgeon, hunting and trapping, making jewelry and hats, and gardening.
     Survivors include his spouse, Charlotte Robison, Appleton; son James Robison, Minnesota; daughters Tina Lenoir, Tammi Vaughn and Tanya Norberg, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother Jerry Shebley, The Dalles; sisters Ruby Shebley, The Dalles, and Sonnie Shebley, New Mexico; and six grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, son Jake Robison and brother Mark Shebley.
     A graveside service was held on Friday, April 21, 2006, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Appleton.
     Gardner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
