W.W. COX

     W.W. Cox, of Appleton, passed away Monday at 12:05 o'clock. He suffered a stroke about two weeks ago, and gradually grew worse until the end. He suffered very little, and had a smile for every one he saw. His sons, Ed and wife, of Cathlamet; Russell and wife, of Pasco; Walter and wife, of Portland; Frank and wife, of Lyle; and his daughter, Mrs. Mary Groshong and husband, of Trout Lake, were all at his bedside most of the time. A daughter, Mrs. Edith Pierson, of Hermiston, is sick in the hospital and could not be with them.

WILLIAM W. COX

     WHITE SALMON, Wash., Jan. 31. – (Special) -- Funeral services at the Appleton church were conducted January 27 by Rev. E. W. McAbee of White Salmon for William Wallace Cox, who died at the family residence in Appleton January 25.  He was born in Winchester, Ind., April 30, 1859.  He married Rebecca E. Waltz in 1879 and had been a resident of the Appleton country for more than 30 years.
     Mr. Cox is survived by his widow and six children, Francis M. Cox, Lyle, Wash.; William Russell, Pasco, Wash.; Walter M. of Portland and David E. of Cathlamet; Mrs. May E. Groshong, Trout Lake, Wash., and Mrs. Edith Pearson, Hermiston Or.
