NORTH YAKIMA WOMAN DIES AT 79

LYLE, Wash., Dec. 26. – (Special) -- Mrs. William Phipps, of North Yakima, recently died at Hartford, while visiting her son and grandchildren.  She was an Oregon pioneer, 79 years old.  She was a descendent of Daniel Boone, the famous Indian fighter, backswoodsman, trapper and the first pioneer of the great Valley of the Mississippi.  Funeral services were conducted at the Hartland Cemetery, by the Rev. Alexander Cheyne.  There survives an aged husband, two sons and three daughters.
