AN ANGEL’S FILE

            Here is some information about Heaven's newest and brightest angel, Regina Deloris “Lyda” Wheeler;
            In the early morning hours of Dec. 7, 2003, Regina, at the age of 66, left this life and went on to the next due to complications following heart surgery in September 2003.
            Regina will be laid to rest on Monday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Hills Pioneer Cemetery in Appleton, Wash.
            She was born on Jan. 14, 1937, in Portland to Etta Osina and Earl Lyda. Her mother and stepfather Lewis I. Osina raised Regina.  Regina enjoyed visiting her maternal grandparents, George and Charlotte MacLeod.  Many of Regina’s fondest childhood memories took place on the MacLeod Farm in Lyle, Wash.  Socializing was Regina’s favorite aspect of her school career.  An active alumnus from Roosevelt High School class of 1955, Regina remained in contact with many of her classmates.
            On June 19, 1955, Regina married Robert W. Wheeler.  Though Regina and Robert divorced they remained friends.  Robert and Regina had three daughters: Robinn Kim, Rolana Tracie, and Redawn Kellie.
            Regina is survived by her daughters and her adopted son, Jacob Mitchell; her grandchildren, Skye Champagne, Matthew David, Melownie Rose, and Alexander Thomas; as well as her two great grandchildren Pixie and Mac.
            Known for her love of roses, her outstanding prize, potato salad, and fudge, Regina was one of the most animated and giving people that this world has had the pleasure of knowing.  As loving as she was stubborn, as opinionated as she was impatient, Regina was one of the strongest personalities that everyone should have known.  Momma, Grandie, Jean, or Reggie, Regina had many names and roles in life.  Heaven is truly blessed to have Regina D. Wheeler as its newest addition.  She will be eternally loved and missed by her family and friends.
