PEARL GILMER DEAD

Pearl, 12 years old, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gilmer, died Saturday, Oct. 14th, at the hospital in Portland after a long illness from typhoid fever.  The little girl had been ailing for some time, and finally came down with a fever soon after her mother moved into the Bingen restaurant.  It was realized for some time that she would have a hard battle to recover and it was a last resort that she was taken to the Portland hospital.  The body was brought to the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bussenshut of this place, where services were conducted by Reverends Clark and Lowden Sunday morning at 9 o’clock and then taken to Gilmer to be interred in the family lot in Gilmer valley, Rev. Clark conducting the service.  Pearl was a beloved child and her parents have the sympathy of a large number of friends, many of whom were at the funeral at Gilmer.  Margaret, the eldest daughter, is still ill with typhoid, but is now slowly improving.
