OTTO KURE RITES HELD AT HARTLAND

            Last rites for Otto Kure were conducted Friday at the Hartland cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. S. C. Eshelman of Centreville officiating.

Obituary

            Otto Kure was born September 7th, 1869, had Allinger, Denmark.  He came to The Dalles, Oregon, in 1887 where he took up the occupation as painter, which he followed until about 1916.  He later lived at Oregon City and for the last seven years, he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Dickens at Alsea, Oregon.
            Mr. Kure was a Lutheran by faith.  He passed away at July 28, 1936.
            He leaves in this country one niece, Kamma McKillip of Grants Pass, Oregon, and four nephews, Henry Kure of Wapata, Washington; Hildor Kure of Lyle, Washington; Archie Kure of Wapato, Washington; and Lawrence Kure of Chicago, Illinois.  In Denmark, he leaves a sister, and in Australia, a brother.

OTTO KURE DIES AT YEW WOOD CAMP

            Otto Kure, 67 years and a native of Denmark, passed away at his residence at Yew Wood park on the Alsea highway at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday following a lingering illness of heart trouble.  Mr. Kure came to Benton county seven years ago and had been employed by Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Dickinson, owners of Yew Wood camp.
            He was born in Denmark September 7, 1868.  He is survived by a sister in Denmark, a brother in Australia and a nephew, H. H. Kure, of Lyle, Washington.
            A graveside service is to be held Thursday morning at 9 o’clock at the Alsea cemetery and interment will be made there with the Keeney funeral home in charge.
