NANCY LEE SCHWARTZ

            Funeral for Nancy Lee Stout Schwartz, a resident of Milwaukie, will be Sunday at ' 10 a.m. at the Sunset Hills Chapel. Interment will be at the Sunset Hills Crematorium.
            Mrs. Schwartz, 41, suffered from cancer. She died Thursday in Salem.
            She was a native of Randal, Wash., and lived in the Portland area 15 years. She was employed as a nurse at Kaiser Hospital.
            Surviving is her husband Richard, Portland; three sons, Philip at the Air Force Academy in Colorado; and Stephen and David, both Portland; a sister, Mrs. Jean Schilling, Lyle, Wash., and her parents, David Stout, Mabton, Wash., and Mrs. Bertha Kelley, Roosevelt, Wash.
            The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Memorial Clackamas County Chatcolab Scholarship Fund.

            Nancy Lee (Stout) Schwartz of Milwaukee, Ore., died Dec. 19, 1974 at Salem, Ore. She was born Aug. 20, 1933 at Randle, Wash. Her early school years were spent at Alderdale, Roosevelt and Rogue River, Ore. schools. She graduated from Goldendale High School in 1951. After high school she graduated from Wenatchee Valley College of Nursing in 1954.
            She worked for a time as a telephone operator in Seattle and later went back to nursing.
            On Oct. 18, 1955 she married Richard Schwartz of the U. S. Navy. They had three sons. For a short time they lived in New York, Alma, Mich., Wenatchee and California. They settled in Milwaukee in 1960 where their children attended school.
            She was a registered nurse and worked for several years at Beth Kayser Hospital in Portland. She spent much time in the past 15 years working with youth clubs and 4-H clubs of the area. She is survived by her husband Richard, three sons, Phillip of the USAF Academy, Colorado - Springs; Stephen and David at home; her mother, Mrs. Walter R. Kelly of Roosevelt; one sister, Mrs. Jean Schilling; a niece, Mrs. Helen Ann Rolfe of Lyle; and her father, David H. Stout of Mabton.
            Memorial services were held Dec. 22, 1974 at Finley Sunset Hills Chapel in Portland. Family graveside services will be held later after cremation in the Lone Pine Cemetery at High Prairie. Her body was donated to medical science in hopes further study will benefit the cancer research in some small way. She died of cancer of the lymph glands.

            The community was saddened by the passing last week of Nancy (Mrs. Richard) Schwartz, sister of Mrs. Robert Schilling. She was well known here as she and her family came from Milwaukie, Ore. nearly every year for the High Prairie picnic. It was Nancy's wish that memorial contributions be made to the Catcolad Memorial Scholarship Fund c-o Laurel Stulken, 4-H Extension Agent, 256 Warner, Milne Road, Oregon City, Ore. 97075. This is a scholarship fund for older 4-H members.
