NELLIE FLORENCE TAYLOR

            Nellie Florence Taylor was born in Vermillion, South Dakota, January 20th, 1877. When six months old she moved with her parents to Clackamas county, Oregon, where she 1ived until thirteen years of age when she moved to Lewis county, Washington.
            On May 27, 1894, she was united in marriage to John Andrew Taylor To this union eleven children were born, ten of whom survive, all of the children being born in Lewis county, Washington.
            Mr. and Mrs. Taylor moved to Hartland, Wash., in 1919, making their home there until her death on May 5th, 1934, at the age of 57 years, 3 months and 15 days. Here she made many friends. The last three years of her life she suffered carcinoma, which finally resulted in death.
            She leaves to mourn her decease besides her husband, the following five sons, Robert and Andrew, Lyle Wash.; Charles, Benjamin and Victor, Hartland; five daughters, Mrs. Cassie Smith, Mrs. Birdie Allie, of Toledo, Wash.; Mrs. Lena Layton Chehalis, Wash.; Mrs. Rose Blair Onalaska, Wash., and Mrs. Mae Fulton, Portland, Ore.; three brothers, Lester Omeg,  Hartland; Lawrence and Edward Omeg, Toledo, Wash; two sisters, Lula Layton, Toledo, Wash., and Audrey Scott, Anacostia, Wash., and eight grandchildren, as well as a host of friends, who  in their sorrow, extend to the bereaved family their sympathy.
            Mrs. Taylor endeared herself to all who knew her, and will be greatly missed by her many friends.

Death does not end our friendship; true
We are all debtors to the dead.
There wait on every thing we do,
The splendid souls who've gone ahead
So then we hold that we are bound
By double pledges to be fine
Who once has had a friend has found
The link twixt mortal and devine.

            Services were conducted from the Hartland church on Monday, May 7th, at 2:30, Elder S. C. Eshelman, of the Centerville Church of Christ officiating, interment following in the cemetery at Hartland where the body was laid to rest. Arrangements were in charge of M. W. Chapman, funeral director.
