SERVICE THURSDAY FOR MRS. CLARK
Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Ryman Clark, a former resident of Lyle, will be held at the Columbia Grange hall in Lyle Thursday at 1:30 p.m.. Mrs. Clark died at a Seattle hospital Sunday. Her obituary will be published in a later issue.

LOIS CLARK
Lois Clark, 61, of White Salmon died May 1 at the Swedish Hospital
in Seattle after a short illness. Born March 20 8, 1894, the daughter of
Charles and Mahala Ryman, at Goldendale, she lived at High Prairie and Lyle
before moving to White Salmon about 2½ years before her death. Her husband
preceded her in death. Mrs. Clark is survived by a daughter, Gladys Knapp of
Camas, a son John Clark of Portland, a sister, Miss Mabel Ryman of White Salmon
had a brother, Allen Ryman of Bend, Ore. She is also survived by four
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 in the Lyle Grange
Hall with Reverend James Duffy of White Salmon officiating. Interment will be
in the High Prairie cemetery.

RITES TODAY FOR NATIVE WOMAN
Services will be held at the Lyle Grange hall at 1:30 p.m. today,
Thursday, May 5, for Mrs. Lois Clark, 61, of White Salmon. Gardners funeral
service are in charge of arrangements. The Rev. James Duffey will officiate.
Burial will be at High Prairie cemetery.
Mrs. William Brashiers of Lyle will sing, accompanied by Mrs.
Marshall Hamm. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Clark was born March 28, 1894 in Goldendale. She was the
daughter of Charles and Mahala Ryman. They lived at High Prairie before moving
to Lyle.
Mrs. Clark died of cancer at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, May 1.
Her husband was killed many years ago in an accident. For the past 2½ years she
has lived in White Salmon with her sister, Miss Mabel Ryman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gladys Knapp of Camas, Nada
McMurrin of Appleton and Ruth Roth of White Salmon; son, John Clark of Portland;
and sister, Mrs. Mabel Ryman; a brother, Allen Reitman of Bend, Ore.; and four
grandchildren.

MRS. LOIS CLARK PASSES IN SEATTLE
Lois Clark was born March 28, 1894 in Goldendale, Washington, the
daughter of Charles and Mahala Ryman. She formerly lived at High Prairie before
moving to Lyle, Washington. For the last 2½ years she had made her home in
White Salmon, Washington. May 1st, after a short illness, she passed away at a
hospital in Seattle, Washington at the age of 61 years.
Surviving are her 3 daughters: Gladys Knapp of Camas, Washington;
Nada McMurrin of Appleton, Wn.; and Mrs. Ruth Roth of White Salmon, Wn.; a son,
John Clark of Portland, Oregon; a sister, Miss Mabel Ryman of White Salmon, Wn.,
and a brother, Allen Ryman of Bend, Oregon. Also four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in the
Lyle Grange Hall with Reverend James Duffey of White Salmon officiating.
Interment will follow in the High Prairie Cemetery.
