JAMES LLOYD BUTLER
Funeral services for James Lloyd Butler, of Husum, who died on March
26, will be held Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White
Salmon. Private burial follows at Appleton Cemetery.
Mr. Butler was born on Jan. 1, 1919 in Greeley, Colo., to Sadie A.
(Meek) and James A. Butler. He married Evelyn June Hutsell in 1939. After
serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, the couple moved to Lyle where
they operated a farm.
In 1972, Mr. Butler and his family moved to Husum where he worked
for five years for the city of White Salmon. He attended Husum Community Church,
was a member of American Legion and VFW. He also operated a wood-working shop.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn June, of Husum, children, James
Lee, of Carson, Shirley Meadows, of White Salmon, Steven Lloyd, of Sumner, and
MaryAnn Benton, of Glenwood; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
