HAZEL MAY MOON

            Hazel May Moon, a BZ Corners resident, died Saturday at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon, at the age of 39.
            Mrs. Moon was born Sept. 7, 1945 to Jess and Hazel (Phillips) Moon in The Dalles, Ore. She was educated in the southern Oregon communities of Hugo and Glendale, and settled in the Appleton-White Salmon area in 1964.
            Mrs. Moon worked at the Diamond Fruit Cannery in Hood River, as a waitress for Town and Country Restaurant before developing heart trouble the last 13 years.  She was affiliated with the Worldwide Church of God.
            She is survived by her parents, Jess and Hazel Moon, BZ Corners, daughter, M. Melody Moon, BZ Corners; brother, Louis E. Moon, Oakridge, Ore.; and grandmother, Mabel Phillips, Visalia, Calif.
            Graveside funeral services were conducted Tuesday, with the Pastor Bryan Hoyt officiating. Interment was in the Appleton Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon.
            Contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or Diabetes Fund.
