GRACE E. KNIGHT

 

            GRAND RONDE -- Mrs. Grace E. Knight, 74, Grand Ronde, Rt. 1, Box 221, who with her husband operated Knights Klassy Kiddy Karnival, died Tuesday in a Salem hospital of a heart attack.

            A native of Rogers, Ark., she lived in Salem just prior to and during World War II. She moved here eight years ago from White Salmon, Wash.

            She and her husband had operated the carnival business for about 20 years. Their home and winter quarters were here and  they traveled in Oregon and to Washington and California.

            Surviving are widower Victor Knight; sons Ivan Elmer, Trout Lake, Wash., Eugene Elmer, Amboy, Wash., Leonard Elmer, St. Maries, Idaho, and Clyde Elmer, Grand Ronde; daughters Ruth Jones, Fernwood, Idaho, Lillian Williamson, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Lucille Moseby, California; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

            Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Vancouver (Wash) Funeral Chapel, with interment at Trout Lake.

"Trout Lake News"

 

     Mrs. Grace Knight, mother of Ivan Elmer, was buried in the Trout Lake Cemetery last Friday beside her son Chris. She and her husband have been living in Salem. Some of the relatives from out of the valley were Mrs. Lula Aerni of Jefferson, Ore. and daughter of Albany who visited relatives in the valley Saturday. Also Mr. and Mrs. Olen Aerni and children of Albany who spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Davis, then were guests at the John Schmid home for dinner.
