FRED GRAFTON NORRIS
Fred Grafton Norris, father of Don Norris, who has been ill for
several months, passed away at the West Klickitat hospital Wednesday morning,
September 27, 1944. Mr. Norris, who has always made his home with his son, was a
man loved and respected by every one. He was often called Grandpa by all those
who knew him so well and will be missed by everyone, especially the younger
people.
Mr. Norris was born at Boston, Massachusetts, November 12, 1858.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at Gardner's
Funeral home with burial at Appleton, Washington. Besides his son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Norris and their two sons, Dick Norris and
First Lieutenant Bill France, who is in France. He leaves a sister, Mrs.
Josephine Vennum, of Minneapolis, to mourn his passing, besides a large circle
of friends here at White Salmon and other places.
