The details of the runaway accident in which the 3-year-old son of Mr. Lauterbach was killed at White Salmon Wednesday, are: Mr. Lauterbach was driving down the grade to Rankin’s landing with a load of lumber, and had his two children with him on the wagon.  The lumber pitched forward on the horses, when they became unmanageable and started on a run down the hill.  All three were thrown from the wagon.  The little boy fell under the wheels and was crushed to death.  The little girl escaped unhurt.  Mr. Lauterbach was badly bruised, but received no serious injury.
