SUTHERLIN -- Doris M. (Hylton) -- Age 61, April 29, 1976, in Portland, Ore. Born October 12, 1914, in Newton Center, Mass. Lived at 707 SE 164th Ave., Vancouver, Wash., for six years. Teacher and religious educator. Husband, The Rev. Dr. Calvin J. Sutherlin, Minister of East Mill Plain United Methodist Church. Son, Jamie Sutherlin, Bellingham, Wash. Daughter, Janet E. Meade, Ridgefield, Wash. Granddaughter, Chemaine Meade, Ridgefield. Mrs. Sutherlin was a graduate of Washington State College, did graduate work at Yale Medical School and was a Science instructor for Larson Jr. College, New Haven, Conn. Member of East Mill Plain United Methodist Church, Vancouver. Chapter J.A. of the P.E.O Sisterhood of California. Mrs. Sutherlin will lie in state until 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, May 5, 1976. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, May 5, 1976, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Private interment, Pleasant Hill Union Church Cemetery, Appleton, Wash. The Rev. Walter Warner of the Oregon City United Methodist Church will officiate, assisted by Rev. Robert Ortmeyer and Reg Bradley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Overseas Relief Program, in care of East Mill Plain Methodist Church, 707 SE 164th Ave., Vancouver, Wash. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, located at 1101 N.E. 112th Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
