DELBERT I. KNAPP

            Delbert Ivan Knapp of Camas died December 20, 1994, at Whispering Pines Care Center in Vancouver.  He was 74.
            Knapp was born July 21, 1920, in Ocean Falls, British Columbia, Canada, and moved to Camas during his early childhood.  He graduated from Camas High School and attended Washington State University.  Knapp later retired from Crown Zellerbach in Camas with 42 years service.
            In other activities, he belonged to the American Bowling Congress for many years and was president of the Vancouver Bowling Association in 1961–62.  He was also a member of the American Contract Bridge League.  In addition, Knapp enjoyed golf, pinochle and dancing.
            He is survived by his wife, Gladys Knapp at home in Camas; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
            At his request, no funeral was held.  Straub’s Funeral Home was in charge of cremation.

            CAMAS – A Camas High School graduate, Delbert Ivan Knapp, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1994, in Vancouver.  Mr. Knapp, 74, retired in 1981 from Crown Zellerbach in Camas where he was a paper tester.  He had worked for the paper mill for 42 years.
            Mr. Knapp was born July 21, 1920, in Ocean Falls, B.C., and had lived in Camas since 1927.
            Mr. Knapp attended Washington State University.  He was a member of the American Bowling Congress and was president of Vancouver Bowling Association in 1960–61.  He enjoyed teaching junior bowlers.  He was also a member of the American Contract Bridge League and Orchard Hills Golf and Country Club in Washougal.  He enjoyed golf and pinochle.
            He is survived by his wife, Gladys, at home; one sister, Eileen Ryan; and one grandson.
            A son, Craig, died in 1992.
            There will be no service.
            Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas was in charge of arrangements.
            Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
