     A. Hagberg, residing in the Lyle section, suffered the loss of his wife and 5-year old son last week by diphtheria. The boy died Monday after an illness of several days. Mrs. Hagberg died Wednesday. She was 27 years old. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, 7 years old, and an infant son, 6 months of age. Dr. Allen Bonebrake, county health officer, was summoned and all person wha had been exposed were subjected to a serum treatment to prevent infection. It is thought that the disease will spread.
