GILMER VALLEY, Wash., Dec. 22: Miss Anna Little, owner
of the Gilmer store died at the Hood River hospital Sunday night December
17th. She was born in Roxberry, Wisconsin, in 1868, at 10 years of age moved
to Wahpton, North Dakota. At the age of 18 she was graduated from the high
school there. In the year 1911 came to Spokane and was employed by the White
House dry goods store for 9 years, a manager of ladies wearing apparel.
In the year 1920 she went to Seattle and was an employee
at the Stone and Fisher Dry Goods store.
Twelve years ago she started the Gilmer Grocery store
and she has been here until her death. She has been a member of the catholic
church all her life, and to mourn her loss are the following sisters and
brothers.
Mrs. Francis Hays, of Gilmer, Mrs. Emma Whitman, of Tacoma,
Wash., Miss Letta Littel, of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Nora White of Fargo,
N. Dakota. Ed Littel, Orting, Wash., Walter Littel, of Staples, Minnesota,
Frank Littel, of Pake, North Dakota, and a host of friends. Funeral services
were held at the catholic church, Friday, and will be laid to rest beside
her brother, Arnold, who passed on about eight months ago.
