Klickitat County Public Libraries
There are two public libraries in Klickitat County. One is at White Salmon and the other is at Goldendale. These libraries are part of the Ft. Vancouver Regional Library system. There are also public libraries in The Dalles, and Stevenson. There are LDS Family History Centers located at Hood River, The Dalles, Goldendale, and Stevenson as well.
The
White Salmon
Valley Community Library's 9,000+ sq. foot facility is located at
#5 Town & Country Square, next to Thriftway. Their telephone number is 509-493-1132.
Library hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; open: Tue. 10am8pm;
Wed/Thur/Fri., 10am6pm.; Sat. 9am-5pm.
The library has many books available
which can be useful for local research - press here
for a partial shelf list. The library also has the local newspaper,
The Enterprise, on microfilm from 1910-1995 (1932 and 1972 are missing),
and loose-leaf for the most recent years. The library also
has ALL of the The Mt. Adams Sun, which was printed in
Bingen from 1936-1968, on microfilm. The Library has several computers that
patrons can use for internet access.
The Friends of the White Salmon Library is a group dedicated
to promoting the Library. Fund-raisers throughout the year help to raise
money for Library improvements.

Goldendale Community
Library is located at 131 West Burgen Street. Their telephone number
is 509-773-4487.
The Library hours are: Closed Sunday & Monday; open Tuesday
- Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
