His descendants lived in Ripton, VT, and the 1830 census lists him asa resident of Ripton. Until his death in 1867, he owned and lived onthe Homer Noble/Robert Frost farm and probably built the originalhouse that is now an historic landmark. This information was suppliedby descendants of Parsons Billings, Sr. Carlton P.Billings b.1826d.1856 m.Adelia M.Brown b.1829 d.1906, both burried GeeCem. Ripton,VT. Jason Billings told his son Malcolm Winter Billings that he wasnot aware of any relationship with Carlton.
Census of 1810. Jehu Billings of Goshen, VT. Was he a relative?Parsons gives his residence as Goshen on his marriage certificate in1811.
"Parsons located at early day on a farm now owned by S.B.Howard.HPSmith Hist .p591.
Parsons is listed as a Ripton resident in 1830 & 1840 Census.
Parsons was one of Pettioners to VT to raise road tax to improveRipton roads in 1821. Source is the Vermont Archives in Montpelier.
Children of Parsons and Eunice are described in letters betweenTimothy Billings & Agnes Billings (Children of Willard Billings, sonof Parsons & Eunice) and Blanche Billings Mahlberg (daughter ofWillard Billings of Olympia Washington, son of Parsons & Eunice).
I also have a Xerox of handwritten family outline with pictures ofParsons & Eunice. This is an early Xerox, but I don't know the sourceor who has the original pictures. Parsons and Eunice are probably intheir seventies. See the pictures in the photos section.
B. Mahlberg's father told her Parsons & Eunice had 13 children andthat some died young.
