Received this second hand 11/99 from:

"Thanks for the info on Nancy Ann Kelley and her marriage to George Washington Wayland. Do you have a date and city where the marriage took place? She was married at one time to my g grandfather, Robert Voss Kelley. They must have divorced, because he also re-married a Hester Goodpasture around 1890 or so. Thanks......Rocky"

Got this from the same person first hand 11/99:

"Hi John.....I believe your looking for Nancy Ann BRANSTETTER. She married my g,g, grandfather Robert Kelley. Nancy was born in Ralls County Missouri in 1849. Her parents were Findley and Lucretia Branstetter. There are a lot of Branstetter's in Ralls County and even more Nancy's.

I've found a George Washington Wayland who was born in Ralls County in 1847. His parents were Alfred F. and Francis F. (Steven's) Wayland. The Branstetter's and the Wayland's may have been neighbors????

Robyn sent me the descendants of a George Washington Wayland born April 28, 1829. He married a Nancy Kelley in 1850. I don't think she was related to me.

My g, g, grandfather must have divorced Nancy Ann Branstetter Kelley, because he remarried a Hester Goodpasture about 1890. I believe Nancy was divorced from Robert and did not pass away, because I found an Annie Kelly on a plot of land in 1904 in Pike County, Missouri. Since Ann was her middle name,
maybe this is Annie???

I've been tracing my roots back to Maryland. There was a Moses Kelly, born about 1750 and he has quite a tree. I found a lot of Wayland's in his family.

Also, the name George Washington Wayland must have been a very popular name. I found one born Feb 1, 1851 and he died 5 days later in Versailles County, Indiana. The babies parents were John Bennett and Micha (Kelly) Wayland.

Of course I guess you know this already. I've also found George Washington Kelley's/Kelly's.

Hope this has helped. Tracing my Kelley roots has been rough. When I think I have something, it doesn't pan out. However, I have traced them from Maryland to Missouri to Oklahoma.

If I can be of anymore assistance, just let know.

Rocky Kelley
