"Great grandfather on the Ingram, Samuel Ingram was an Englishman and he married a Miss Stewart, a Scotch woman and had a son William and he married Miss Mary Currin and they had four children, Ann, Jemina, James Samuel, Robert P.. Ann married Annaias Davidson; Jemina married Andrew Boyd, Robert P. married Mary B.J. Gorham. James Samuel Ingram was born in 1802, April 4th. and was a son of William and Mary Ingram. Died Sept. 19th., 1878 was born in Montgomery Co. Virginia. He married Mary B. J. Gorham in 1830, Oct 28th. She died July 17, 1899 was born in Robinson Co. Tennesse, June 24, 1814." This is from reported letter written by his wife. Not as yet confirmed.
Mary Jane GORHAM [Parents] was born on 24 Jun 1814 in Robinson Co., TN. She died on 17 Jul 1899. Mary married James Samuel INGRAM on 28 Oct 1830.

But, it has dates in it after the reported author's death. It is therefore obvious that additions (and perhaps changes) were made to the letter in this typed "copy," and a scanned copy of the original letter is not online.
The Fort book says that Mary had two children: (1) R. Boyd Ingram who married (wife not named) and had a dtr., Leta Ingram of Marshall, MO., and (2) Yurie. The above letter gives other children:
" Mary Frances Ingram was born in the year of our Lord 1832 August 6th., was married to Alfred James Allison in 1850, Nov 28th. died in 1908, Febuary 11th. [Date had to be added to typed letter as it is after author's death. Makes you wonder how many other dates were added to this letter, questioning legitimacy.] Sarah Tolman Ingram 1835, Feb. 7th and died Oct. 15, 1851. Thomas William Ingram born 1837, May 20th and was killed at the battle of Lone Jack, Missouri. Ann Ingram was born in 18 July 16th. married William Fretwell Gaines and died 1910. [Another date after author's date] ] James Robert Ingram born 1840, June 13th. ,Rufus Henry Ingram born May 19th, 1842, Martha Jane Ingram born Dec. 11th, 1844 and died Sept 26, 1846; Virginia Adeliza Ingram born March 16, 1847 married Edwin Boyd. Leon JACKSON [Parents] was born on 6 May 1872 in Leon Co., TX. He died on 3 Jul 1933. Leon married Nora Ellen RODGERS.
Twin to Mattie. Leon was a stockman and county commissioner for three terms.He donated land for a Negro cemetery, a masonic lodge, and a church for the little town.
Nora Ellen RODGERS was born about 1875. She married Leon JACKSON.

From "A Family Called Fort" book: "She lived in Robertson County, Tenn., with her father 1861-1875, returning to Huntsville, MO with him and her step-mother when about 17 years old. There she later married T.M. Elmore who 'bought a drug store in Moberly' shortly before May 21, 1894. (Old letter).

Mary Eugenia Piety FORT [Parents] was born on 4 Jan 1855 in MO. She died on 18 Mar 1877 in Randolph Co., MO. Mary married William F. BULLARD in 1870 in Montana.
The book, "A Family Called Fort" says that she married when barely age 15. "She became ill, and her father A.J. Fort sent her back to Missouri to Dr. John T. Fort, but it was too late to help her. She died at the home of Col. H.T. Fort, Randolph Co....when only twenty-two years old." She had three children: Annie Frances Bullard and the line down is given.
George Spencer WATKINS was born on 14 Feb 1837 in Jessamine Co., KY. He died on 24 Feb 1931 in Montana and was buried in Madison Valley Cem.. George married Frances C. Lee FORT on 24 Sep 1879 in Harrison, Montana.
