Mrs. Carrau's sister, Mrs. Irene W. Thatcher (1880-1966) said, 'Twin Bridges was the only place he (A.J. Fort) moved to after he stayed in Fort Benton only a short time. Harrison, Montana, is where Grandpa Fort lived and where we four children were born...Our old ranch is on the east side of Lake Ennis, and a grandson of my father, Jack McCormick Watkins, is operating the ranch (cattle). The following was from in 8/99:

"Thought I would chime in with what I have on this family. In my database I have a Thomas J. GORHAM b. abt 1805 in TN. Parents unknown. He married Burilla Burton on Jun 20, 1828 in Chariton Co., MO. Burrilla was the daughter of May Burton (1780-1859) and Nancy Woodfolk (1786-1836). Both Thomas and Burilla appear in the 1850 census for Randolph Co., MO in the household of May Burton on page 259 B, Prairie Township. Thomas' age is listed as 45, occupation farmer, real estate value $2,500, birthplace TN. Burilla is age 41 born in Kentucky. Their presumed children living in the household are Thomas GORHAM age 20 born in MO, Tolman GORHAM age 17, born in MO, and Missouri I. GORHAM age 13, born in MO.

Could the Thomas J. GORHAM in this census be the brother of Nancy Melinda GORHAM and therefore the son of Thomas GORHAM, JR and Sarah W. SUGG?

Also when was Sarah GORHAM daughter of Thomas J. and Burilla BURTON GORHAM born?
