E.William Lewis Adams. J.Milly Adams.m.____Webb.

One unverified sources says:

"Capt Bob" of Rev. War who with his brother in law, and a third person formed "lynch's law" in Cambpell/Bedford and Pittsylvania Co to put down an uprising and counter attack by loyalist during the war, intent on capturing the lead mines, and the powder facilities. by the way, they NEVER hung anyone. Whipped a few (including some of my other relatives) but killed no one. Lynching didn't mean then what it does now.

Got this email 3/99:

I am REALLY curious about the Penelope Adams you have b. abt 1779 m. James Terrell
Adams, Penealope (~1779 - ) - female
b. Abt 1779
spouse: Terrill, James (1779 - ~1871)
- m. 18 Jun 1798
----------child: Terrill, George Whitfield (~1809 - 1846)
----------child: Terrill, Susannah "Susan" (~1813 - )
----------child: Terrill, Christian (~1815 - )
----------child: Terrill, Robert Adams (1820 - 1881)

If I have from granddaughters of Robert Adams and set forth in a manuscript done in early 1900 stated Penelope never married, but I had some doubt about that. Here we have a Penelope Adams m. to a Terrell in 1798 and with a
child, Robert Adams Terrell. Do you know where you found that info. I think this is the Penelope, one in the same. Do you have a place of marriage?
There is almost no way for one to be named Penelope Adams and with a child named Robert Adams for her not to be the daughter of Robert Adams and Mary Lewis Terrell. I see you don't have parents for her. I wonder.
Just food for thought?"
