See note under father. Write-up in 1882 said Robert "died many years ago." Frank WALKER married Eliza TERRILL in 1854. The same year Mary Alice TERRILL, minor heir of Robert H. TERRILL, chose Jesse TERRILL as her guardian.

Elizabeth K. TERRILL [Parents] was born in 1834. She died in 1876. Elizabeth married Robert Hester TERRILL.

The ancestry.com site has "Mansfield, William married Terrill, Elizabeth on 26 Nov 1850 in Randolph Co., Missouri." I did not have his name as William before, but just as John. I added William as a middle name based on this.

James L. MCCALL was born about 1830. He died about 1852/1854. James married Nancy A. TERRILL on 13 Nov 1850 in , Howard Co., Missouri.

His middle initial is given as a "T" in marriage records, according to someone.

I found
the family in Chariton Co., Illinois in 1870. Eliza had died and Joseph F(ranklin) WALKER was listed with his four daughters Eva J., Flora, Lizzie
and Jesse. Two sons were also listed who died young of TB. Also listed was Lydia W. ALLEGA 67 of Ohio.

In 1880 Joseph F. WALKER is listed as Frank and
remarried. Mariah ALLEGA 76 is listed this time as his mother - in - law.

Martha J. TERRILL [Parents] was born on 12 Feb 1840 in , Randolph Co., Missouri. She married Elijah H. HUTCHINSON.

W. L. T. EVANS was born about 1830. He died on 26 May 1879 in Milton, MO and was buried in Hickory Grove Cem., Randolph Co., MO. W. married Susan M. TERRILL.

It is a puzzle who these people are:

Married on the 18th day of January, 1877, at the residence of the bride's father, by Elder W. L. T. EVANS, Mr. J. Thompson TERRILL, of Howard County, and Miss Lennie L. EVANS, daughter of F. M. EVANS, Moberly.

"Evans, Willard -- d. 30 Sep 1879 Salisbury, from Moberly, struck by a train, supposed to have been intoxicated; MDM, Monday 1 Sep 1879"

The two below were also in the Moberly Daily Monitor:

"Evans, W. L. T. -- indisposed with a tumor in the roof of his mouth; MDM Thursday 22 Aug 1878"

"Evans, W. L. T. -- d. 26 May 1879 of dropsy at Milton, aged abt. 50y, funeral 27 May 1879 by Eld. Mansfield of Caseyville {sic] = Hickory Grove Cem"

From the above, he may have had cancer in his mouth, perhaps from tobacco use.

Susan M. TERRILL [Parents] was born on 21 Feb 1842 in , Randolph Co., Missouri. She married W. L. T. EVANS.

Richard D. BROADDUS was born about 1842. He married Emily L. "Emma" TERRILL.

Not known if related, but the following was in The Huntsville Herald:

Emily L. "Emma" TERRILL [Parents] was born on 12 May 1844 in , Randolph Co., Missouri. She married Richard D. BROADDUS.

Found with parents at age 26 on 1870 Randolph Co. MO census. Her name is given as "Emma" by Stephen Willson.

Thomas Waller BURTON was born about 1845. He married Matilda A. TERRILL in 1866 in Randolph Co., MO.

Matilda A. TERRILL [Parents] was born on 1 Oct 1846 in , Randolph Co., Missouri. She married Thomas Waller BURTON in 1866 in Randolph Co., MO.

The following was posted to the Terrill genforum in 12/99:

I am researching the family of Thomas Waller Burton and Matilda Terrill Burton in Randolph Co., Missouri. Matilda is the daughter of the Reverend Jesse Terrill and Abigail Hester Walton. Rev. Terrill was a well known Baptist minister in Missouri. Thomas Waller Burton and Matilda Terrill were married in Randolph Co. MO in 1866. They had the following children; Mary Elizabeth, Gorham, Nicholas William, Abigail, Joseph Shelton, Irene, James Waller, Toleman, Lee, Jesse Edgar (my grandfather), Richard Aubrey and Charles May. I would like to share information with anyone researching this family.
