There is a James A. Terrill (#4194) m. Ann Prewitt 7 July 1842 in Howard Co., MO, but there is no evidence that it is this one. This could also be #4068 James H. Terrill who m. Catharine A. (UNK) and is buried in Marion Co. MO. See also James # 4194, 4075, 4445 and 3656.

I have no actual evidence that this Joseph is the son of Joseph (2957) but have placed him there as the birth dates are right and the families mingled in other marriages. It is known that Joseph (#2957) had a son Joseph. Joseph (3363) who m. Elizabeth Terrill is her second cousin, if this relationship is true.
Elizabeth Morton TERRILL [Parents] was born on 4 May 1808 in , Orange Co., Virginia. She married Joseph BISHOP.

William Morton TERRILL [Parents] was born on 21 Jan 1812 in , Orange Co., Virginia. He married Virginia SORRELL on 15 Oct 1839 in , , Missouri.
Went to Missouri in 1830, settling in what is now eastern Maries County. On 30 Dec. 1841, he and his wife conveyed this land to his mother, Susan, when she arrived in MO. According to the King history of Maries Co., William and his family migrated from MO. to Texas and were ancestors of a branch of Terrill families in Texas.
Virginia SORRELL was born about 1820. She married William Morton TERRILL on 15 Oct 1839 in , , Missouri.
William QUISENBERRY was born about 1810. He married Keturah TERRILL on 29 Oct 1832 in , Orange Co., Virginia.

Keturah TERRILL [Parents] was born on 6 Jan 1815 in , Orange Co., Virginia. She died on 16 Oct 1843. Keturah married William QUISENBERRY on 29 Oct 1832 in , Orange Co., Virginia.
Had two children, Reuben and Susan, and perhaps others. Moved to Missouri with her mother about 1841, and died soon after arrival according to her date of death in family bible records. Both of her children are shown in the 1850 census of Osage Co., MO living in the household of their grandmother, Susannah.
Her grandfather Terrill signed the same petition as probably her husband's grandfather signed. See note under her husband.

David TERRILL [Parents] was born on 28 Jan 1818 in , Orange Co., Virginia. He married Lucy RUCKER on 2 Jun 1840.
Was a physician. Attended medical school and after his marriage moved to Adair Co., Kty. where they are shown on the 1850 census living at Kaskinsville. Children and grandchildren listed in Ellsberry's Terrell Bulletin about 1972.
Lucy RUCKER was born about 1820. She married David TERRILL on 2 Jun 1840.

George Morton TERRILL [Parents] was born on 7 Jan 1821 in , Orange Co., Virginia. He died on 11 Apr 1850 and was buried in Grove Dale Cem., Maries Co., Missouri. George married Nancy Ann SMITH on 5 Apr 1843.
Operated a general store in eastern Maries Co., Missouri. Named after his older brother who died at age 2 weeks. Never married according to a reliable source, but Dicken gives this marriage.
