David TERRILL Jr. [Parents] was born in 1728/1729 in Golansville, Caroline Co., Virginia. He died on 14 Feb 1805 in , Campbell Co., Virginia. David married Sarah GOODE on 15 May 1782 in , Bedford Co., Virginia.

Married three times. All of his known children were by first wife, Sarah. After his first marriage, he lived in Louisa Co. for awhile and was Clerk of the Camp Creek Quaker Meeting at Green Springs. He moved about 1781, after the death of Sarah, from Louisa to Bedford County. He announced his attentions to marry his second wife, Sarah, on 10 May 1782 and on 15 May they were married. After the formation of Campbell Co. in 1782, David was by that division placed in that county. He was a devout Quaker and freed his slaves in 1782. His home was near Senaca Creek, which flowed through his plantation. He owned considerable amount of land, not only in Campbell but some in other counties. In 1760, he was granted 1,075 acres in Lunenburg Co. In his will he left his interest in 400 acres in Halifax Co. to his brother, Chiles. I did not copy the following page of Dicken's book which listed the remainder of his children.

Sarah GOODE was born about 1745. She died in 1788. Sarah married David TERRILL Jr. on 15 May 1782 in , Bedford Co., Virginia.

She survived David and after his death moved with some of the family to Highland Co., Ohio, and presumably died there.

Christopher Clark II,lived in Goochland Co.Va.and in the Am.Rev.[ p.628,Ga.and Ga.People,by George Smith] After the Revolution,he brought his family to Georgia.He was a member of the U.S.House of Representatives in 1792, member the Georgia House of Representatives from Elbert Co.,1799-1800,left a will in Elbert Co.Ga.

Milicent TERRILL [Parents] was born on 7 Jun 1741 in , Caroline Co., Virginia. She died in 1800/1803 in , Elbert Co., Georgia. Milicent married Christopher CLARK on 13 Mar 1757 in , Caroline Co., Virginia.

The line down from Milicent is courtesy of Mrs. Ed. McKinley Jr., 4916 Hawthorne Rd., Little Rock, AR 72207. She was also known as "Milly" and "Mildred". On her marriage certificate her name is written as "Millar" and that is the way she signed the certificate also.

Chiles TERRILL [Parents] was born about 1745. He died after 1799. Chiles married Margaret DOUGLAS on 13 Feb 1783.

Lived in Albemarle Co., VA., about 12 miles from Charlottesville on the east side of Southwest Mountain. They had only one child. During the Rev. War, he was regarded as leaning strongly to the Tory side. In 1777, the County Court refused to allow a deed to him from David Meriwether to go to record, because of their suspicion that he had not taken the oath of allegiance to the states.

One unknown source gives name as "Charles Chiles Terrilll."

Margaret DOUGLAS was born about 1740. She died on 25 Sep 1812. Margaret married Chiles TERRILL on 13 Feb 1783.

Died at Cloverfield, at home of son, Capt. William Douglas Meriwether. When she made her will 1806-1812, she named all her children by her first marriage to Nicholas Meriwether, leaving a legacy to the children of her deceased son Thomas Meriwether, he being the third child named. This Thomas M. m. 1791 Ann, called Nancy Minor, (1771-1820) dtr. of Garrett and Mary Overton (Terrill) Minor. As shown in the Louisa Order Book of 1817, p. 526, James Hunter Terrill was on Nov 1817 appointed guardian of Thomas Meriwether's orphans. James Hunter Terrill and Thomas Meriwether were half-brothers. (Dicken)

Mary Collins in 1798 and then on the next page quotes D.B. 15, p. 165 where it says that Christopher AND HIS WIFE MARY deeded land to son Joel 5 Jan 1805. I think that there is a good chance that the Christopher who m. Mary Collins may have been
a different Christopher, and this one also m. Mary Collins.

Martha WILSON was born about 1750. She died after 1804. Martha married Christopher TERRILL.
