land records ( he bought land from Benjamin Terrill) and he is on the
marriage contract of John Terrill and Mary Terrill (Robert's widow). I
believe that he may be the grandson of John & Rebecca (Cornelius). Perhaps
the son of George & Nancy (Cave). George was deceased when John's will was
written and the will only states "heirs of son" George; but does not list any names. I have no real evidence of this.Mr. Harold Lynch listed E. C. & his wife A. E and the son of James &
Susanna (Cave) Terrill. But I am not sure of this.I don't know why Edmund was be signing on the marriage contract for
John & Mary!!! I thought maybe that he could be one of the oldest
grandchildren of John and be signing in place of his deceased father????I am searching for info. I always seek documents to make sure info
is factual. I don't know that Joshua & Edmund were twins. I have by doubts
on that.

Abner HOLTON [Parents] was born on 10 Mar 1790 in Fauquier Co., Virginia. He died on 27 Oct 1857 in Bracken Co., Kentucky and was buried in Blackerby Family Cem.. Abner married Mary Ann BLACKERBY.
ABNER HOLTON-----Abner Holton was born in Fauquier County Virginia, March 10, 1790. He was the youngest son of Reverend William and Abigail Gorman Holton. He married Mary Ann Blackerby in Mason County May 20, 1812. She was the daughter of Jeduthan and Mary Ann Orear Chamberlayne Blackerby. The
Holton family moved from Fauquier County to Mason County about 1795 and settled near Minerva. Ten of their eleven children came with them, the oldest, Mrs. Malinda Orear remained in Fauquier County with her family. Abner and Mary Ann Holton had two children, Augustus Frederick, and Frederica A Holton. Abner Holton served in the War of 1812 as a private in Captain Charles Ward's Company, Third Regiment, Ky mounted Militia, commanded by Lt. Col. Andrew Porter from September 1, 1812 to October 15, 1812. He also served in Captain Joseph Logan's company, Ky Volunteer Militia commanded by Lt. Col. Porter from September 10, 1814 to October 9, 1814. The Holton Family were Baptists in Virginia. When they moved to
Kentucky they became members of the Bracken Baptist Church near Minerva on Bracken Creek in Mason County. Abner Holton and his family moved to Bracken County in the 1820's. He and his family became members of the Willow Creek Baptist Church. Abner was named a trustee on October 23, 1827, and was
ordained as a minister by the Church on February 18,1828. He died on October 27, 1857 and was buried in the Blackerby Family cemetery at Berlin, Bracken County.
Mary Ann BLACKERBY was born on 8 Feb 1783 in Fauquier Co., Virginia. She died on 28 Feb 1873 in Kentucky and was buried in Blackerby Family Cem., Berlin, KY. Mary married Abner HOLTON.
MARY ANN BLACKERBY HOLTON;------Mary Ann Blackerby was born February 8, 1783 in Fauquier County Virginia, her parents were Jeduthan and Mary Orear Chamberlayne Blackerby. Mary Ann was married to Abner Holton May 30, 1812 in Mason County. Abner and Mary Ann Holton had two children, Augustus
Frederick and Frederica A. Holton. The Holtons moved to Bracken County about 1820. They became members of the Willow Creek Baptist Church. Mary Ann Died February 28, 1873, aged 90 years, 20 days. She was laid to rest in the Blackerby Cemetery at Berlin Kentucky. Her husband and daughter pre-deceased her.
