Jesse and Benjamin Terrill were brothers and ministers, sons of Robert Terrill and Mary "Polly" Lacy. I'm not sure about the Josuha Terrill; one possibility I have is the Rev. Joshua Willis Terrill, b. 21 Aug 1821. But, he is a little young for this group of ministers. I have another Joshua Terrill, b. 1820, but he is not much older and not known to be a minister. I have a Joshua Terrill, b. abt 1740, who has children, but they are unknown. One of these may be named Joshua.

		M	iii	Samuel TERRILL was born about 1748 in Marlboro Co., SC. He died after 1800 in Marlboro Co., SC.

Stephen CALVIN was born about 1758 in , Hampshire Co., VA.

Reportedly, Hampshire Co. is now in West Virginia.

I got this email 12/99 but could not help him:

"My ancestors came from Romney of Hampshire Co. of what is now W. Va. His name was Joshua Calvin born 1742 moved to Romney about 1786. He had eight sons. A son John was born Oct. 24,1784 and died Dec. 19,1785. So he is not Anna Calvin's father but do you have any information on him? Who his fater was and so on. I would like very much to hear from you.

This Joshua he mentions may be the brother of this Stephen, or possibly his father. I wrote and asked him and got this reply:

"Yes Joshua 1742 could well be Stephen's brother. who was the father of John 1784 and there was a John 1735 in the area who could have been John 1784 grandfather. Do you have the book THE CALVIN FAMILIES by Claude W.Calvin? Its great but there are mistakes in it."
