Renfro B. PHARR [Parents] [scrapbook] "Ren" was born on 29 Oct 1879 in Cabarraus Co., NC. He died in 1950 in North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC. Ren married Jessie SMOAK in Jun 1913.

1900 Census has him living with parents, age 30, manager of newspaper. I have a copy of his obituary. He was, with his brother, co-editor of The Hustler, which later became the present Journal-Patriot in North Wilkesboro, NC.

Jessie SMOAK was born about 1890. She died after 1950. Jessie married Renfro B. PHARR in Jun 1913.

They had the following children:

		M	i	Howard PHARR was born about 1915. He died after 1950.
		M	ii	Arthur PHARR was born about 1918. He died after 1950. An "A.L. Pharr of Raleigh" NC attended funeral of grandmother, Flora Bell Welborn in 1942, and I wonder if it could be this man.
		F	iii	Elizabeth PHARR was born about 1920. She died after 1950.

Elisha M. WELBORN was born on 1 Aug 1828 in Randolph Co., NC. He died in 1900 in Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC and was buried in Wilkesboro Town Cem., Wilkesboro, NC. Elisha married Margaret Frances CLARK on 13 Feb 1855.

Margaret Frances CLARK [scrapbook] was born about 1830. She married Elisha M. WELBORN on 13 Feb 1855.

Hettie WELBORN [Parents] was born about 1873 in NC. She died after 1942 in Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC. Hettie married MORGAN after 1900.

I have put Hettie and Lillian as last born of the children, as they were listed as unmarried when their father died in 1900.

C.U. DAVIS was born about 1850. He married WELBORN.

WELBORN [Parents] was born about 1860 in NC. She died after 1942 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., NC. married C.U. DAVIS.

Lillian WELBORN [Parents] was born about 1875 in NC. She died after 1942 in Roaring River, NC. Lillian married F. L. PARKS after 1900.
