John Kelly estate. At March Court, 1827, Hiram Malott, Stephen L. Hite, Stephen R. Chenowith and Joseph Funk were appointed commissioners to allot to Sarah, widow of John Kelly, her dower of one-third of lands. Court ordered division of estate to widow and twelve children. Land adjoined that of Hiram Mallott, Samuel Frederick and to 400 acres originally made in name of Alexander Reed, and to lands of Zilhart, and to road that leads to Bruners Town and to Funk's Mill. To the widow was given 56 acres and to each of the children one-twelfth of the remaining 116 acres, as follows, Elizabeth wife of Peter Miller, Samuel, David, John, William, James, Daily, austin Kelly, and Sarah wife of Joseph Beard, Cynthia wife of Michael Miller, Hannah wife of William Johnston, and Jane Frederick. Recorded July 2, 1827. [B1, p155.]

Also found a will for Thomas Applegate, Dec 25, 1806 - Aug 8, 1808 which was witnessed by Peter ad Frederick Miller [and Hiram Malott, John Kelly's neighbor]

John Luther Colman MILLER [Parents] was born on 20 Nov 1870. He died on 10 Oct 1936. John married Minnie A. FISHER on 4 Feb 1897.

Minnie A. FISHER was born on 5 Apr 1873. She died on 3 Dec 1956. Minnie married John Luther Colman MILLER on 4 Feb 1897.

They had 7 children, most born in WILKES CO: Nancy born June 1819 married William Washington CALL (of Daniel), Josephine born about 1820 (this is the only one that fits your Ann J.) and there is nothing further on her, James Martin married Emily CALL (of Daniel), Isaac Slater married Martha Caroline MASTIN, William Burton married Matilda HOWELL, Daniel H. married Susannah MILLER, and Sarah E. married Alexander MILLER. There is a 199 pg book "Call Family History" available through Grace Call, Route Five, North Wilkesboro NC 28659 or contact Wilkes County Genealogical Society.
