Talcott says, "enlisted and served six years in U.S. Army...He resided in Benson and Orwell, Vt., and in 1824 went to Hopkinton, St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., where he died, Feb. 16, 1855, aged 93 years. 'He was an honest man, a firm patriot, an earnest worker, and a good Christian.' His wife survived him." Talcott has a fourth child for him, a dtr., but no name was given, and no dob or spouses on any of the children.
Susannah SANFORD was born about 1767. She married Solomon CHITTENDEN in Jun 1785.

Talcott in 1882 book says, "Resided on Washington Heights, New York. He was married five times. His fourth wife was Miss Lamson, of Newburg, by whom he had two children. His last wife, who survived him, was Miss Amelia Lockwood, of Stamford, Conn., whom he married in July 1866...[She m. 2d, Dr. Bedford, and is since dead.] His daughter, Lucia Chittenden, was married Sept. 3, 1874, to Frederic Charles Blenkinsopp Coulson, of Blenkinsopp, Northumberland, England, grandson of the late Lord Byron."
In his 1890 book, Talcott gives other wives as (1)___Austin, (2)____Lawson, (3)____, (4)____Lamson. Apparently unmarried. In his first book, Talcott says, "sailor, not heard from since 1830." In the second book, he says, "died 1830."
