WALSH - KELLY Notebooks
Early Irish Records
These manuscripts contain records of Walsh and other families in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, particularly in southern Kilkenny County, Ireland. They act as substitutes for census, probate and other records which were destroyed in the Dublin 'Public Record Office' fire of 1922, which destroyed a large part of the genealogical records for Ireland . The manuscripts are kept at the Genealogical Office (GO) in Dublin, Ireland, and have been microfilmed for the LDS Family History Center in Salt Lake City.

WALSH
A RECORD AND SKETCH OF HUGH WALSH'S FAMILY
Description: Hugh Walsh was the youngest son of Samuel Walsh and Elizabeth Allison. Hugh resided near Killingsley, County Down, Ireland. At the age of nineteen, he emigrated to America and landed in Philadelphia ca. 1764. He moved to New York and married Catherine Armstrong 16 November 1775. They were the parents of eight children. Hugh died 15 November 1817. Descendants lived in primarily in New York.
