Bio: Lawrence Walsh was born August 07, 1864 in Washington township, Dubuque Co., Iowa, the son of Edmund and Mary Frances (Walsh) Walsh. About 1884 his parents moved to a farm in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Mary Agnes Burns was born December 05, 1870 in Pottawattamie County?, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Bridget (Lambert) Burns.
Lawrence and Mary Agnes married May 25, 1891. They had a total of 13 children, including infant son John Walsh who died in January, 1901.

In 1895, Lawrence and his brother Tom had started new families and were listed farming in Union township, Harrison County, Iowa. By 1900 the family was farming in Norwalk township, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa. By 1910 the family was farming in Hazel Dell township, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa. Prior to 1920 the family began farming in Lagrange township, Harrison Co., Iowa, near the ole Beebeetown road, not far from the O'Rourkes. Between 1922 and 1926, Lawrence was employed at the Cudahy Packing Co. in Omaha, Nebraska, the family residing at 1724 Spring Street. Lawrence passed away in August 1926, and Mary Agnes lived in Omaha for another eleven years, passing on October 10, 1937. Both were buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Omaha.
