Culpeper court house area, then they moved to Bedford. The Benjamine isnew
to me . We are working in that area trying to find out anything onWilliams
father and Mother. John and Winnie, if you have anything on them you areway
ahead of me.
I have complete files on William and all his children in Bedford and whenhe
moved to Craig Creek and most of the family there, I'm off his sonFountain
and Celine Hawkins their son John Henry who left Bedford after the CivilWar
and settled in Ks.
I;m in touch with the Eakins who own the land William farmed, the oldcabin
was still standing until this year when it was taken down and the logs
donated to New Castle Historical Society to rebuild a cabin there. Alsohave
a book written by Frank Hawkins with pictures of the cabin and graveyard. He
is off wills son Charles,
