This is the line from Gregorius Meschter/Master that I descend from. I have
some information on the other families in this file and will be glad to
share anything I have with others who are interested in this family. Feel
free to let me know of any corrections or additions to this family. I have

1. Gregorius Meschter was born about November 1705 in Langneundorf, Silesia, Germany. He was the son of a
gardener, Balthasar Meisther/Meschter who was born about 1675 and died in Germany 1 April 1723. Gregorius was
married to Maria Krauss on 25 July 1733 at Bertelsdorf, Saxony, Germany. Maria was the daughter of Melchior
Krauss, born about 1712 in Sachen, Germany. Gregorius and Maria arrived in Philadelphia on 12 September 1734 on
the ship "St. Andrew Galley" with a group of Schwenkfelders. He was naturalized in Philadelphia Supreme Court on
10 April 1759. Gregorius purchased land in Hereford Township, Berks County and died there 16 December 1775.
Maria died 11 Nov 1756.

2. Melchior Meschter was born 28 June 1740. He was married on 20 November 1774 to Anna Maria (Yeakel ) Zoller. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Yeakel and his wife, Miss Wolf. Melchior died 21 October 1793. He was the father of:

3. George Meschter/Mester was born 14 April 1775. He was married about 1796 to Susanna Heimbach, daughter of
Henry Heimbach and Catherine Wetzel. Susanna was born 26 Aug 1773 in Lehigh County, PA and died 16 April
1862 in Hereford, Township, Berks County. George died about 1847. They are both buried in Huff's Cemetery.

4. George Master was born 12 February 1798 in Berks County. He was baptized on 21 April 1798 in the Upper Milford Reformed Church, Zionville, Lehigh County, PA.
George married Catherine Jones, the daughter of Carl
"Charles" Jones/Johns and Elizabeth Geist. She was baptized 25 May 1805 in the Longswamp Church, Berks
County. George and Catherine moved to Clarion County, PA in the early 1830's. George died there in 1873 and
Catherine died in 1890. They are both buried in the Cemetery in St. Petersburg, PA.

5. Nathan Master was born in June 1836 in Clarion County PA. He was married 17 August 1854 in Salem Township, Clarion County to Lydia Imbody, the daughter of David Imbody and Catherine Stichler. She was born 26 December 1836 in Richland Township, Clarion County and died 9 March 1854 in Salem Township, Clarion County, PA. After her death, Nathan married Eliza J. (Dugan) Clover on 21 June 1886. He died at age 90 in October 1926. Children of Nathan and Lydia (Imbody) Master:
6. William A. Master was born about 1855 in Clarion County, PA. He was married abut 1874 to Mary "Polly"
Jones, daughter of Harrison Jones and Elizabeth Shoup. She was born 3 September 1852 in Clarion County.
William died in 1921 in Richland Township, Clarion Co. and "Polly" died in 1936.

7. Daisy Jeanette "Jennie" Master (my grandmother) was born 16 April 1883 in Clarion County, PA. She was married 9 March 1899 to Edward Clyde Miller, son of John Wesley Miller and Elizabeth Jane Shoup. Edward was born 9 April 1875 in Turkey City, Clarion County, PA and died 4 November 1965. "Jennie" died 16 January 1958. They are both buried in the Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lamartine, Salem Township, Clarion County, PA. They were the parents of my father, Ralph Carl Miller.
