Biography:

After graduating in June 1959, Doug attended USMC Basic School at Quantico VA.

From there, Doug attended US Naval Flight School, graduating in July 1961 at NAAS Chase Field, Beeville TX.

He then went to VMA-533 at Cherry Point NC.

His second tour was a grunt tour with 2nd Bn 8th Marines at Camp Lejeune NC.

His third tour was with VMA-211 at El Toro, CA and Chu Lai, RVN.

Doug was discharged from active duty at MCAS El Toro, Sep 1966.

Doug was hired by Continental Airlines Sep 1966 until Sep 1983 due to the Continental bankrupcy.

He then went to work or Air Hawaii, McClain Airlines & Ryan Air. He was hired by UPS Airline in June 1988.

Doug recently retired in September 2006.

His wife Joanne was the "Color Girl" for the NROTC graduation parade, June 1959.
