Work Experience:
Mr. Bartholomew has developed and demonstrated over the past 40 years his skills as an
Executive, Manager, Negotiator and Lawyer in the fields of Corporate and Real Estate
Finance and Business Development. He devised, developed and carried out corporate debt
and equity financing programs for two major NYSE listed corporations and devised the
methods of operation of the first Savings Bank Service Corporation as a joint venture
partner in real estate development. He has dealt with many governmental agencies and
regulatory bodies, and has structured, financed and managed several joint ventures in
the manufacturing, services and real estate industries.
He has served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of AVCO Corporation, AVCO Community
Developers, during which time he was also responsible for financial and development matters
involving the 29,000 acre Rancho Bernardo community near San Diego, California and the 9,500 acre
Laguna Niguel community near South Laguna, California. He has served as a member of the Board of
Directors, Senior Vice President, Vice President, General Counsel, contract negotiator/administrator or
member of management of the following companies:

Military Experience:
Mr. Bartholomew was commissioned as an Ensign in the U. S. Navy, a product of the NROTC at the
University of Southern California. He graduated as first man in his class, receiving several awards for
leadership and academic excellence. At the end of the Korean conflict he served for two years aboard the
Attack Carrier USS Essex (CVA-9) and for twenty-eight years in the Naval Reserve. He holds as a line officer
the permanent rank of Captain and is qualified for command of deep draft vessels in fleet maneuvers. He has
served as Group Commander, Large Division Commander, and on the Staff of RADM Richard Lyon (the first SEAL
appointed an Admiral and a former Chief of Naval Reserve), as Program Officer for the UDT, Surface Warfare,
Amphibious Warfare, and Mine Warfare programs and the JAG and Chaplain Corps. He attended Naval War College
in Newport, Rhode Island, and has held clearances, Secret or better, based upon background investigations,
from the Atomic Energy Commission, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense and the U.S. Navy.
He has served in the following ships:

Education:
Mr. Bartholomew attended the University of Southern California on a four-year academic scholarship,
graduating Magna cum Laude, and was active in intramural sports, social activities and as a student leader.
He also attended USC Graduate School, USC Law School and Western State University. He holds the following degrees
